In the Polish city of Gniezno, local councilman Tomasz Radek came up with an unusual way to cook scrambled eggs. He cooked the eggs in 15 minutes on a heated metal bench in the city center. Politicians have pointed out that previously there used to be trees, flower beds and lawns, but now there are metal benches and non-working fountains, making it a concrete desert. Citizens say the city has failed to rebuild.

Alcohol is an essential ingredient in almost every dish of people around the world. In Warsaw, there is a serious political situation regarding drinking on the banks of the Vistula River. In fact, Vistula Boulevard and Poniatowski Beach are the only public places where you can drink alcohol outdoors in Warsaw. However, after a recent ban due to the new coronavirus, since May 16, alcohol can again be consumed on the banks of the Vistula River, as the restrictions have been lifted in Poland. According to a group of British scientists at the Delamere Clinic, Poland ranks fourth in Europe with regard to alcohol abuse, and not all residents welcome the lifting of the ban. A group of activists, including representatives of a waterfront residential complex and Warsaw’s rowing community (Warszawskie Towarzystwo Wioślarskie), have demanded that Warsaw City Hall not allow alcohol consumption on the main street. However, Warsaw City Hall respects the right of its citizens to drink near the river. Therefore, the dispute will go to court.

The 21st Equality Parade took place in Warsaw. This year Poles held it together with Ukrainians. The Ukrainian 10th Anniversary Equality Parade was supposed to be held in Kiev, but due to the war in Ukraine, it was jointly held in Warsaw. This time, due to a decision by the organizers, Russian transgender representatives who had participated in the Polish parade for the past seven years were forbidden to walk and carry the Russian flag. However, while the parade organizers issued a statement welcoming them to participate as individual Russians, the transgender representatives were heavily criticized in Russia. In Russia, there is no freedom of expression for transgender and other groups, and their activities and other activities are severely restricted.
